IIT should be opened at Darbhanga in Bihar sign now

On behalf of the Antarrashtriya Maithili Parishad, the move for the IIT at Darbhanga in Bihar is going on which all of us support.

We welcome the decision of Govt. of India to open an IIT in Bihar whis is an ideal step of the Government to initiate the development of the state.

However, all of us demand our Honorable Prime Minister of India to open this prestigious institute in Darbhanga rather at Patna which has already a NIT there.

Darbhanga is considered as the center of Mithila The region which has given too many scholars and Intellectuals to the nation. Although Mithila is full of intellect, but it has been ever neglected by all the Governments.

Recently what ever industrial unit establishment or any other investment related announcement has been done in the state, all nearby Patna, Chhapra, Nalanda and Gaya.

Not a single investment/establishment has been done in the Mithila region, which shows the ignorance of 40 million of population of Mithila region of Bihar.

IIT at Darbhanga: Salient Features

1) Darbhanga is a place where there is good connectivity with every place in India directly or via PATNA & KOLKATA. (Airport for defence is already there which can be well-utilized for civil traffic too to give boost to the economy of this under-developed, flood devastated region of Bihar).

2) Darbhanga is the place where Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh three member countries of SAARC may also get benefit of being IIT at Darbhanga due to geographical linkage.

3) Medical and Dental colleges / Hospitals and universities at Darbhanga are already giving good support to the Member countries of SAARC.

4) Darbhanga is being considered as cultural capital of Bihar.

5) Crime rate compared to Patna and other part of the country is negligible.

6) Mithila is the peaceful place with a lot of intellect.

7) It is nearer to the airport (In comparison with Roorkee with Delhi & Kharagpur with Kolkata).

Further as explained above an air service can be started from Darbhanga airbase for multiple reasons.

8) In Darbhanga lot of lands and supporting infrastructures are available.

So, all of us request to our Honorable Prime Minister to establish this Prestigious Institution-IIT in Darbhanga.

So, considering all these valid points please Open IIT at Darbhanga.

For this the entire population of Mithila will ever remember our Prime minister, according to the CMP of the UPA the underdeveloped areas need prior attention.

Yes, Please consider this demand if possible. Opening up of an IIT will really boost the positive thintking towards engineering education in Mithila region. Darbhanga lack any national level engineering institution, engineering based industry or company.

Please help plant a seed, Primeminister Sir, to allow a distinguished regin of Bihar to have this IIT. Darbhanga, the cultural capital of Mithila has had more than its share of neglect in the last 60 years. We are asking you democratically, peacefully and
