I Am Sick of Hearing About 9/11 sign now

I'm so tired of hearing about 9/11! Yes, what happened 10 years ago was a horrific tragedy and I understand that many lives were lost that day and continued to be lost in the "War Against Terror" as a result but the media coverage is blowing it way out of porportion and becoming super redundant annoying! It's as if America has an unhealthy obsession with 9/11, with all these specials and headlines cluttering internet homepages, especially Yahoo and MSN for over a week now.

To me it's insanity and while the victims and heroes should be remembered and honored it's overkill when they talk about 10+ different children growing up in a post 9/11 world (I don't really care), while the only way 9/11 has personally affected me was being suspicious and afraid of Middle Eastern looking people in their cultural/religious garb for the first 5 years (because of the media) afterwards and all the extra humiliating and sometimes violating procedures we must endure at national airports when going through their tight security, where strangers get to see us naked before we boards planes although it's quite understandable.

I believe we're forgetting why we were attacked in the first place, and honestly I'm starting to see 9/11 as the horrible excuse for former President George Bush's war in Iraq when it was the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden in Afghanistan who were responsible for attacking us. Sometimes I wonder why Sadam Huissein was captured and killed long before Osama Bin Laden who was the one responsible for attacking us and it just doesn't make sense to me, but now that the mastermind is dead, why can't it finally over, can't we just move on? I guess for America and the media there will never be closure, instead more American soldiers must die as well as innocent civilians in the countries we had to invade in our "War Against Terror."

I am sorry for all those who lost their lives and loved ones because of that fateful and horrible day in September a decade ago, while the victims of another tragedy and American failure that occurred in the same month called Hurricane Katrina seemed to be shrugged off this year when it claimed 1,836 lives, yes I know it's not exactly close to the 3,000 lives that were claimed in the Twin Towers, but it was still an American tragedy, but we've seemed to have moved on from that just fine as we did with Pearl Harbor which was very similiar to 9/11 (Even though I wasn't alive back then) but I must ask, 10 years after that happened was it as sensationalized as much as 9/11 on it's decade anniversary?

I am just sick and worn out of hearing about 9/11. Please sign this petition if you feel the same way.
