To UPN9 and Anyone Else:
This is a petition to keep the Muhammad Hassan character ON Smackdown TV.
This man is using the first amendment right of freedom of speech to show his discomfort of how Arab-American are being treated unfairly since 9/11. His recent events on the July 7th edition of Smackdown have caused him to be censored by UPN. Anyone who is a WWE fan knows that this is entertainment, and each wrestler have 2 different sides to them; thier personal side and thier work side which is shown on tv each week. Smackdown is a pre-taped show which can be changed many times before it is shown on Thursday nights. When 5 masked men attacked The Undertaker and carried Daivari over thier heads as a "sacrifice" other channel's across the world that carry Smackdown DID edit out that part of the show and cut to a commericial right after the conclusion of the match. UPN 9 DID NOT!! Why should this man suffer and possibly lose his jobs just because UPN decided to keep that part of the show and not edit it out?
Like him or not, he is an entertainer who is thier to entertain the WWE fans at WWE events and is just like any human being who is making a living through what he loves.
