Graeme McArthur Should be Punished for his Horrific Actions sign now

A father-of-two who left a three-month-old baby fighting for life after forcing a baby wipe into his bottom to prevent a dirty nappy has been admonished. Graeme McArthur, 39, admitted acting to the danger of the life of the baby boy between February 14 and 17 last year by inserting the wipe into the baby's bottom when he was changing a nappy. The next day in a bid to remove the wipe using his fingers he caused the child horrific internal injuries, including a perforated bowel. The baby was so ill he couldn't even cry. His skin was mottled as a result of poor circulation of blood to the skin. It was apparent that however it was life-threatening."

A consultant paediatrician told the court that the pain would have been extruciating. By the time the baby arrived at Hairmyres Hospital in East Kilbride at 4.30pm on February 17 he was so ill he had to be resuscitated and moved to Yorkhill Hospital in Glasgow. By this point he was close to death and had to undergo a four-and-a-half hour operation to repair his bowel.

It is not yet known if the baby will make a full recovery.

The admonishment ruling means McArthur's conviction is recorded but he is neither imprisoned nor fined.
his man is father and absolutely should have known better. Would he have done these actions to himself? I think not. I am of firm belief that this man needs to punished for his horrific actions that left a 3 month old baby in excruciating pain for hours upon hours. To add to this he McArthur did not even come forward when the infant became unwell, thus leaving him to suffer for even longer.
