FAIR TRADE COFFEE sign now

In December 2001, the international coffee price crashed to a 30-year low. The impact on small-scale coffee farmers has been devastating. While coffee-growing communities and entire economies have been suffering, the major coffee companies have been making huge profits from the drop in prices.

Kraft, Nestle, Proctor and Gamble and Sara Lee are among the worlds biggest coffee companies, buying almost half the worlds coffee every year.

Buying Fairtrade coffee is a way to overcome these problems and guarantee that everyone in the supply chain gets their fair share.
