ESI Medical College: Odisha Govt. must stop repetitive biased decisions to decorate BBSR sign now
Dear honorable Chief Minister Mr. Patnaik & Shri Khuntia,
We the citizens of Odisha , here by conveying our discontent and strong protest against the recent decision of establishing ESI Medical College at Bhubaneshwar. We believe that being the responsible authorities you are aware of the reasons, why ESI Medical College should go to Rourkela instead.
Please consider this protest as a protest from ordinary but yet responsible citizens of Odisha. We the citizens of Odisha would appreciate if a change in decision is being considered for the good cause. The citizens of Odisha eagerly looking forward to a responsible response to this appeal not only for the people of Rourkela as well as whole Odisha. We hope our appeal will be taken in a positive spirit with a view of equality to all the regions, cities of Odisha. However we are not oppose to the development of BBSR vis-to-vis if other cities/towns are given equal opportunity instead of keeping as handicapped by not implementing a good policies that brings infrastructure to those parts of Odisha. The citizens of Odisha will be happy to see and willing to support the Govt. if there is a paradigm shift in policy making keeping the future of Odisha & its people, such that institutions like IIM, IIT or AIIMS or ESI or any medical colleges equally get distributed at all parts of our state. We believe the Govt. of Odisha has a better data / statistics on this & does not need any further explanations. It is not only disgraceful but discriminatory in nature that such injustice was/is being handed over to the other parts repetitively by the past Govt. which was least expected from the present Govt. Besides there has not been any major development for the cities like Rourkela in last 10 years which deserves its share of having a educational institutes and facilities. Hence this medical college must go to Rourkela both logically and with many other reasons. We would like to appeal that in future Govt. will consider all probabilities of well beings before making any decisions be it an educational institute or any other infrastructure establishments which not only avoid regionalism among Odias but also bring equal opportunity of development as well as progress for Odisha as a whole state.
We wish you all the best in serving Odishas democracy and developing it in a way that is acceptable to all with a win-win situation. We would also like to see your Govt. continue what it has done in its initial years of ruling but with a philosophy of UNIFORM DISTRIBUTION OF OPPORTUNITIES AND RESOURCES ACCROSS ODISHA and not just Bhubaneshwar be its any policy making or MOU or the real implementation of projects.
Thank you.
The Odisha Development Team of Odia Samaja & the concerned citizens of Odisha around the world.
