Empower the Board for the Regulation of Online Spelling and Grammar sign now

We are all aware of the terrible spelling atrocities faced by the world today and nowhere is this more evident than on online message boards, chat rooms and 'blogs'. This 'text' or '1337 speak' is, without a doubt having a terrible influence on the children of today, many of whom believe that the correct spelling of 'today' is in fact '2dy', 'what' is 'wot' and 'don't' is 'dun'.
We do not propose that this is fully eradicated, we accept at times abbreviations may well save significant lengths of time for those less-able typers. We also accept that for some dyslexia, chavism or other such inhibiting factors may affect the ability to provide proper spelling. We do however propose there should be a standard of abbreviations and other such rules with appropriate sanctions for the breaking of them.
For this we propose that the 'Board for the Regulation of Online Spelling and Grammar' (see [email protected]) be granted the power by all national governments to issue suitable sanctions for the continuous use of improper spelling and grammar online.
