Don't Donate While We Wait: Penn Alumni GET-UP Support Petition sign now

As alumni of the University of Pennsylvania, we are committed to upholding its values of integrity and responsible citizenship in our lives beyond the classroom. In turn, we ask the administration to uphold those values within the university community.

Graduate Employees Together University of Pennsylvania (GET-UP/AFL-CIO) is working to ensure that all graduate employees at the University of Pennsylvania are guaranteed adequate healthcare, fair working conditions, and an income that reflects the cost of living in Philadelphia. We support GET-UPs efforts to give graduate students a voice in the terms of their employment through contract negotiations with the University.

We therefore pledge to withhold all further donations to the University of Pennsylvania until the administration ends its efforts to block graduate employees legally-affirmed right to organize a union, and enters into contract negotiations with GET-UP as the elected representative of graduate employees at the University.

Year Graduated 1992 Abide by the results of the election and negotiate in good faith. Penn is not a law unto itself; it must be a good member of the commity and treat its graduate students well.
