There have been many people complaining about how marijuana is an illegal substance in our country. So many people take this drug and so many of them get arrested. I do not understand the reasoning for this drug to be illegal. If you think about it, drinking is worst than smoking marijuana. People who drink do stupid things, become angry and violent, cant concentrate while driving, and kill other people. Why is this legal, but marijuana isnt? Marijuana doesnt make people become violent or angry, and I know that people can concentrate very well on this drug. The drug does nothing to hurt people anymore than what cigarettes can do to you. It simply makes life happier for people. People feel good when they smoke marijuana. I think this drug should be legalized and put in stores just like cigarettes, tobacco, and alcohol are. It should also be taxed just like everything else. Also, it should have an age limit just like any other drug that is legalized in our country. It can be 18 like you have to be to smoke cigarettes, or 21 like you have to be to drink. I think this would lessen the amount of people getting arresting for a pointless matter. Plus, our government shouldnt be worrying about whos smoking marijuana or not when there are way more important things to be worrying about like crime or more terrorist attacks.
