Do NOT, repeat NOT, resurrect Eastenders in any aspect, form or shape whatsoever. sign now

We the undersigned request that Eastenders is never resurrected in any aspect, form or shape whatsoever.

The day the BBC launched this drivel in the first place on Tuesday 19th February 1985, it started going downhill. The programme was so depressing, the acting diabolical, the storylines crap, need I say more. It is time people woke up to the fact that 75\% of the actors couldn't act in Eastenders and never could, including Leslie Grantham. Over the years, numerous actors all left Eastenders and were given lead roles in drama series but every single one of those drama series flopped and why because 1) they are badly written and 2) as I have already said hardly anybody could act in Eastenders. This is also when you find out even more so that Eastenders actors are so bad, nobody can launch a solo career for themselves successfully. Viewers at the end of the day think there is always a star or stars of a show and the powers that be always hit back saying nobody is bigger than the show and for once the powers that be were spot on where this programme was concerned. The star of the show was the show itself. Besides been badly written and badly acted, Eastenders was also responsible for ratings wars been introduced. Until Eastenders came along there was no such thing as ratings wars and after Eastenders was about six or seven years old, they started to compete with Coronation Street in a weekly ratings war contest. To start with this was just a competition between these two which is usually how these things start. As the years went on, all television programmes decided to jump on the bandwagon and get in on the act of competing in ratings wars and all that this has led to, is there been hardly any viewers left at all now for any programme. The point I am trying to make here is, would there have been something introduced called ratings wars if Eastenders hadn't been launched, now theres something for you to think about. If it weren't for the hype, which is what Eastenders always had to rely on to get its viewers, it wouldn't have lasted as long as it did. If it had been judged on the quality of its writing and acting throughout its duration, it would have been axed well before it was, but BBC television bosses haven't got a clue. They let this drivel go out on the screen for years on end without a care in the world and the sooner they wake up and realise what utter bloody garbage this show always was the better. The actors and actresses off screen antics were also a disgrace to this programme. Whenever there was a scandal about a star from Eastenders, it was usually spread all over the newspapers and the things that they got up to in real life, were just as bad as what was going on in the programme itself. Eastenders was one of those programmes that was bloody cursed and it had been since day one, so do us all a favour and do NOT repeat NOT do a Crossroads with Eastenders and resurrect it in any aspect, form or shape whatsoever.
