National Petition to Dissolve the House of Peoples' Representatives of Ethiopia

as per Article 30 Sub Article 1 of the Constitution


We the People of Ethiopia, undersign this petition;

Determined to exercise our right to self determination, as declared in Article 39 sub Article 1 of the Constitution;

knowing that this right cannot be suspended or limited, as declared in Article 93 sub Article 4 Comma (c) of the Constitution;

Having vested in us, all the Sovereign power of Ethiopia, as proclaimed in Article 8 and Article 9 of the Constitution;

Having lost our confidence in all the members of the House of Peoples' Representatives, which was meant to be the expression of our Sovereignty, as declared in Article 8 Sub Article 3 of the Constitution, and therefore;

Determined to hold back the mandate we gave to all the members of the House of Peoples' Representatives in the 2005 election, as declared in Article 54 Sub Article 7 of the Constitution;

Understanding that holding back all the mandates of all the members of the House of Peoples' Representatives will result in the dissolution of the House;

Reminding the Prime Minister of his Power and Function to Obey and Enforce the Constitution, as declared in Article 74 Sub Article 13 of the Constitution;

Reminding the members of the House of Peoples' Representatives are governed by the will of the Peoples' of Ethiopia, as declared in Article 60 Sub Article 1 of the Constitution;

Order the implementation of Article 60 Sub Article 1 of the Constitution as an effect of our decision to implement Article 54 Sub Article 7 of the Constitution in all the members of the House;

Willing to hold new elections right after the dissolution of the House of Peoples' Representatives, as declared in Article Sub Article of the Constitution;

Strongly demand the Prime Minister and the House of Peoples' Representatives to respect and implement our will and decision in the name of The Constitution of The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, which is the expression of our Sovereignty and Supremacy, as declared in Articles 8 and Article 9 of the Constitution;

Reminding that all the government body are accountable for their deed, as declared in Article 12 Sub Article 2 of the Constitution.
