Democracy For Djibouti sign now

Dear Sir, Madam,

For generations, with sacrifice and courage, some embraced democracy as the beacon of hope and freedom of mankind, while others still in troubled waters, scans the horizon with hope for the high hill of the promised land.

As said by Obama: America must stand on the side of human freedom and dignity.Practice what they Preach.and One way to Prevent Wars is to Hold These Countries accountable with Sanctions
Here we have a human and political disaster for which, holding up these principles will request setting up a new 21 century's moral compass, by the United State administration, the Congress and the American people as from all governments, leaders, International Institutions, brothers and sisters of our global village.

During 32 years since their independence, with our silence, complicity and willful blindness, Djiboutian have been under successive totalitarian regimes inherited by a nephew from his uncle and still in a daily basis subjected to:
Repression and Injustice
Fear and Intimidation
Arbitrary Arrest and suspicious Deaths in Detention
Tribal Discrimination, Misappropriation of Public Funds and slicing the countrys limited wealth among few elites on one hand and ostracizing the mass on the other
Electoral fraud and corruption became endemic tradition at all levels of institutions
While living in misery and absolute poverty with unemployment rate above 60\% according to several expert observers
Morning after dark at the dawn of a new beginning and opportunities, one year from now the Djiboutian president will come to a term of his second and last mandate according to the constitution, he himself adopted in 1992.

The people of Djibouti appeal respectfully for your supports by signing this petition today and lobbying your leaders to obtain from the power in Djibouti a peaceful transition not only in respect of the country's constitution but also in the reform of the voting system and voters listing designed with the aim to serve a dictatorship regime rather than a Republic, as well as implementation of the preliminary measures and arrangements to ensure transparency before the next elections in 2011.

In her deliberations, Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt, who chaired the United Nations Commission on Human Rights during the early years of it, in 1946, summoned:
"Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home - so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm, or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world."

Comfort us to promote Democracy in Djibouti and the Horn of Africa by starting to sign this petition, today - We too don't quit but indeed committed to make it be.
