Dear Mr. Bush sign now

Dear Mr. Bush:

The undersigned people, who are not all necessarily Kerry-supporters but may also be some of your own supporters, agree with me on this statement:
I read that you said that this election was a mandate. You are wrong. The American people may have voted for you, but they do not trust you. I am willing to bet that many of the people who voted for you simply thought you were the lesser of two evils, enough people that if they chose Kerry instead Kerry would have won. They did not give you permission to act; they simply denied Kerry permission to act. Do not take this election as saying that the American people agree with everything you do and you should continue doing it. Please hear our voices that you should stop absurdities that dont matter such as the gay marriage ban; wars against dictators that have, or in the end dont have, WMD; and much more. If we tried to oust every dictator, we would go broke and be spread too thin. You chose the wrong dictator. In the opinion of some of the undersigned people, including myself, there should be no war. But if there was one, we should have gone against a real threat, like North Korea, who now has several nukes. But, you should focus on the real problems of the world: the 4,000 children that die every hour from hunger, the HIV/AIDS epidemic, homeland security, and more. Fighting wars does not prevent terrorism. I quote Mahatma Gandhi: An eye for an eye just ends up making everyone blind. I quote Martin Luther King, Jr.: Through violence you may murder a murderer, but you cannot murder murder. I quote John F. Kennedy: Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind. And I quote myself, Michael T. Martinez: Stop war, or it has already put an end to mankind, then it is only a matter of time until it puts an end to what we have become. There are many more important threats in the world than terrorism. Hunger kills more people every hour than all of the people who died on September 11, 2001, from the terrorist attacks which we should not forget. But we should also not forget the teachings of the people I have already quoted, and as a Christian you should not forget the teachings of Jesus. Treat others as you would want to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself. Im not saying dont fight a war against someone who directly attacks us. Im saying only fight wars that are absolutely necessary, and try every other solution possible before you fight the war. I hope that you will listen to us.
