David Glass, Sell the Royals sign now

Attention all Royals Fans:

As we all know, our beloved, once dominat franchise has been the butt of many a joke in the baseball world. Our players belong in AA or AAA, developing the skills they need for future success, instead they are being dragged up to the Major league level, and having their confidence shattered, and skills go under-developed. We have been patient, trying, and hoping to believe that all this suffering would lead to salvation, and in 2003 it looked like it would. We narrowly missed the playoffs, and were considered heading into 2004 a team that could challenge for the AL Central, instead to a combination of ineptness from the manager, poor play from our FA signings, and overall lack of motivation, or skill, we lost 104 games. Management told us that this was a bump in the road, nothing to be worried about, and that this year we would do much better, most experts said we would be the worst in baseball, and after a 8-25 start our manager fled town. We then hired Buddy Bell, whom I deeply respect, and think will help this team, and we promptly swept the Yankees, and later the Dodgers, and things looked bright, but during this 16 game losing streak [at time of writing] the problems we so dearly hoped weren't true, are now being shown. Our general manager is perhaps the biggest moron in baseball, although he has found good talent he has ruined it by rushing it to the Majors, and not giving them time to develop properly. Our owner, who no doubt saved us from the horrid "Board of Directors" has under-delivered in his promise to make this team competitive, and seems more intent in running this team like Wal-Mart then an actual big-league franchise. Our owner keeps telling us that this will turn around. When? Surely he will not spend the 50-60 million dollars for payroll that would help make us competitive, that might result in him losing money, and what team would take winning over money? But, lets say he does spend that much, our GM would have to actually spend it wisely, but after the horrid signings of Benito Santiago, Juan Gonzalez, and Jason Grimsly to name a few, it has become obvious that he has a one-track mind, instead of signing the best available player, he is hell-bent on signing the cheapest player at a position we "need". This stupidity was shown in the trade of Carlos Beltran, when he got John Buck [will be a career backup catcher], Mark Teahan [still has some hope, but is probally a bust] and Mike Wood [solid middle reliever, could be useful in the future]. that's 1/3 if yer counting. So what can we do? I hereby petiton Mr. David Glass "owner" of the Kansas City Royals, to sell the team. If he does care about this team so much, then he will do what is best for it, sell it to a person, who cares about winning, and not about making money. Please Mr. Glass, for the sake of the Royals, please, sell the team and leave, thanks for getting rid of the board of directors, but it is obvious that you have no business in owning a major-league franchise.
