Commodity Supplemental Food Program sign now

Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) works to improve the health of low-income elderly people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods. It provides food and administrative funds to States to supplement the diets of these groups.

President Bush's budget for 2007 proposes to end funding for this program and the low income elderly that it serves.

Could it be that this group of people serve no useful purpose to the politicians in Washington. And the affluent that owns and controls the politicians?

On this date February 28, 2006 the recipients of this program in San Diego, California has been informed that this program has been canceled. They will receive no more commodities.

For more information on this program go to:

http://www.fns.usda.gov/fdd/programs/csfp/

We need to keep this program for the group of people that it serves.
