Chris Matthews: We Demand An Apology sign now

Divisiveness, the central theme of Karl Roves 2004 election strategy for George W. Bush, is destroying this great country we call America.

Our founding fathers envisioned a republic where men and women could agree to disagree on various topics of political and societal debate. However, the divisive tactics of Rove have seeped into too many facets of our culture. The most prevalent facet is that of cable television shows, such as Hardball with Chris Matthews, and others who push and outright flaunt blatant right-wing bias.

Matthews has compared Democrats to Osama bin Laden. He even this week accused gays and liberals of burning nine churches in Alabama. It is comments like these that do nothing to promote the good in our society, of which there is plenty. Instead, Matthews chooses to set a terrible example for our children by spreading hatred and divisiveness.

Its time for the common American to take note and draw a line in the sand that says, Im mad as hell and Im not going to take it anymore.

Chris Matthews does what he does merely to shill for the right wing agenda. We ask, with this petition, that Chris Matthews apologize for his idiotic remarks and admit he is biased toward the right.

In fact, any pundit who uses terms such as liberal in a hate-mongering manner, such as Matthews proves his goal is to divide and incite unnecessary emotion in the hearts of the uninformed.

Become informed and ask Chris Matthews to apologize.
