Changes to Star Trek Online CCG sign now

Written this twenty-sixth day of March in the two thousand and fifth year, we, the undersigned players, do hereby make the following petition of Worlds Apart Productions and Scott Martin, President.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions aggressively and swiftly implemented changes to the pricing structure and benefit packages of the Star Trek Online Customizable Card Game (STOCCG, the game), through the increase of prices and decrease of benefits, upon their buyout of the game from Digital Deck Inc. without warning, consultation, or respect to the players of STOCCG.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions aggressively and swiftly implemented changes to the Tournament Structure of STOCCG, through the creation of entry fees, through the refusal of the sanctioning of free, player-run tournaments, through the decrease in prize-support for free-tournaments, through the decrease in compensation for tournament directors, upon their buyout of the game from Digital Deck Inc. without warning, consultation, or respect to the players of STOCCG.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions staff maintains an air of superiority and disinterest towards the players of STOCCG through a lack of presence, personal conversations, and gameplay.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions failed to consult or acknowledge the positions and opinions of tournament directors and leading members of the community before instigating the aforementioned drastic changes.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions failed to either engage Decipher Inc. in creating online-exclusive promotions or failed to reach an agreement with Decipher Inc. on the aforementioned promotions.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions has failed to make significant updates to the STOCCG homepage for several months.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions has failed to update certain aspects of the game software as repeatedly requested by the players, specifically the handling of multiple accounts; skill, card set, attribute, et al, filtering for Second Edition cards; an improved, more reliable trading system; et al.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions failed to make simple corrections to errors in card images, found and listed by the players, for many months.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions has failed to make any attempt to attract new players to the game through the creation of promotions or the increase in sign-up bonuses.

Whereby Worlds Apart Productions has failed to produce a new game interface promised to the players upon the take-over from Digital Deck Inc. and the release of Second Edition online.

We, the undersigned players, do hereby petition Worlds Apart Productions and Scott Martin, President, to implement the following changes in the STOCCG system that we, the undersigned players, believe will increase the current player-base, drive up participation and registration of new players, and ensure a bright future for a wonderful game.

1. Increase the benefit for sign-up to include a non-tradable starter deck of choice from both First Edition and Second edition, as well as 1000 latinum for the purchase of non-tradable booster packs.

2. Restore the standard Collective discount to 50\%.

3. Provide standard 8-6-4-2* prize support for all player-run, free tournaments.

4. Provide sanctioning for all player-run, free tournaments consisting of at least six (6) players and a registered tournament director.

5. Provide some form of support for tournament directors.

6. Provide tournament directors with the ability to send system-wide messages in the Tournament Lobby to facilitate the calling of time and other important announcements mid-game.

7. Forge an agreement with Decipher Inc. to promote STOCCG through exclusive online-only promotions like those of Lord of the Rings: Online Trading Card Game (LOTROTCG).

8. Work with Decipher Inc. to actively recruit new players to the online version of Star Trek CCG.

9. Appear in Meeting Centers more regularly and during both Happy Hours and other times.

10. Socialize and game with the players.

11. Consult upstanding members of the community and listen to their opinions about the game and its handling.

12. Update the existing software with the aforementioned changes and produce fixes for cards errors found and listed by the players.

13. Make an active effort to promote the game through more frequent homepage updates.
