Change the LSE Law Summer 2009 Examinations Timetable sign now

To: London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) Administration Department and the Faculty of Law

WE THE UNDERSIGNED, hereby petition for the relevant changes to be made to the examinations timetable for law exams in May 2009 at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). We do understand the complexity and nature of scheduling exam timetables but urge you to consider an alternative timetable structure. Many other LSE departments have similar issues but have successfully constructed their timetables so that there is only one exam on each day. We urge you to consider a similar structure.

WE THE UNDERSIGNED PETITION TO:

Express our concerns regarding the provisional timetable
Suggest alternative measures for the examination timetable in the study of law in the Summer 2009 examinations.

THE UNDERSIGNED RESPECTFULLY REQUEST:

Introduction to Legal Systems (LL109) and Property I (LL105) to be re-scheduled. The original date is 18th May 2009 for this exam. We urge you to consider another day for one of the two exams scheduled for this day.

Criminal Law (LL108) and Public Law (LL106) to be re-scheduled. The original date is 20th May 2009 for this exam. We STRONGLY urge you to consider another day for one of the two exams scheduled on this day. These are two full modules with only a short break in between. As these two FULL modules count towards fifty percent of our final grade, we would be grateful if you could re-schedule one of these exams for a more suitable day.

We request that the dates of the exams do not extend past the exam date for the Law of Obligations (LL104) as many international students have begun to make arrangements to go home for the summer. An extension of this period will conflict with many arrangements that have already been made.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused but WE THE UNDERSIGNED strongly urge you to consider our requests.
