Call for the Resciding of the Wounded Knee Massacre Medals of Honor sign now

We the undersigned petition the President of the United States to rescind the Medals of Honor issued to the members of the 7th Calvary after the Wounded Knee Massacre.

There were more than 350 unarmed indigenous people murdered on the 29th day of December 1890. After they had laid down their guns, as ordered, beneath a flag of truce they were surrounded by the Calvary and were brutally murdered.

After the initial onslaught, Forsyth ordered all women and children to come out of hiding and they would NOT BE HARMED! After the women, children, and small babies came out of their hiding places, they were also murdered, raped, and left in the FREEZING COLD!

Day later there was a mass grave dug and all of the bodies were thrown in and buried.

This is not honor and MOST DEFINITELY NOT worthy of a medal of recognition. We believe that it is time the United States begin helping right the wrongs of the past and acknowledge this event for the massacre it was and implore you to rescind the medals of honor bestowed for such in -humane and cowardly acts against the Indigenous people of this land.
