Bseem Mohammad family's ordeal sign now

Dear Minister,

We would like to urge you to show some empathy and compassion in regards to Bseem Mohammad Aqel Mohammad's case. We urge you to exercise your discretionary powers and end his 10-year ordeal.
Bseem Mohammad arrived to Australia 10 years ago. He recently married an Australian citizen, and she is now 6 months pregnant.
Bseem was not allowed to work for the last few years, which made his life miserable and became under heavy debts. All this made him very depressed and at some stage was admitted to mental health institution.
His wife, and because of this situation, started to experience signs of stress and depression. She is now seeing psychologist regularly.
Mr Bseem's family ordeal could be ended by allowing him to apply for spouse visa without leaving the country. He is unable, mainly because of financial difficulties due to lack of permission to work for the last few years, to leave the country to apply offshore. He and his wife need extensive medical attention, unavailable in the country he came from. He even lost his contact with that country after 10 years living in Australia.
Bseem is very young and eager to start working the day you will grant him permission. We understand that Australia is facing shortage of workforce, and many contracted workers were brought form other countries to fill this shortage.
We understand too that recently, his wife was admitted to hospital for different reasons, mostly related to stress because of his ordeal and the concern over his immigration status.
Please end their ordeal by allowing him to apply for spouse visa onshore. Please do not separate the family apart.
