Bring Back Deayton sign now

This is a petition to ask the BBC to reinstate Angus Deayton as the host of the humourous TV news show, Have I Got News For You.
Angus Deayton was sacked from the show after allegations made in the British tabloid press about drug-taking, which has not been proven and which Deayton has denied.
Not only is it unethical for the BBC to fire him based on hearsay (and possibly illegal), it also demonstrates a total lack of backbone. Until the allegations are proven, they should stand behind Deayton rather than bow to puerile tabloid pressure.
Deayton is the backbone of a terrific show which has lasted over 10 years with the same participants and same format. To drop him so unceremoniously is ungrateful at best.
Please sign this petition to encourage the BBC to re-think their decision. The show just won't be the same without him.

Angus was not only the best HIGNFY host, but the best Quizcom host I've ever seen. His private life did not effect the show in a negative manner, in fact the jibes made to him in relation to the prostitution allegations made the show even more worth watch

When I said that I agree with Gary Glitter, I meant with regard to this petition. Obviously I don't agree with abusing children.
