Bring back Blockbusters, Connections, Crosswits, The Krypton Factor and Runway on ITV-1 and also bring back The Crystal Maze as well and put it on ITV-1. sign now

We the undersigned request that Blockbusters, Connections, Crosswits, The Krypton Factor and Runway be brought back on ITV-1 as soon as possible. Also bring back The Crystal Maze as well and put it on ITV-1.

Blockbusters with Bob Holness was a great quiz programme and should be brought back immediately for afternoon television on a daily basis (Monday-Friday). Connections with the great Sue Robbie was another great quiz also on in the afternoon at one time on a daily basis (Monday-Friday). Crosswits with Tom O'Connor was a decent quality quiz programme as well, broadcast at 9.30am at one time on a daily basis (Monday-Friday) and should be brought back instead of the garbage that goes out on the air at 9.30am today. The Krypton Factor with Gordon Burns which was broadcast on Monday nights at 7.00pm was another quality quiz show which required intelligence and the whole family could enjoy and lastly Runway with Richard Madeley was another quiz programme that went out at 9.30am at one time and should be brought back as soon as possible. Throughout the years that these five quiz shows ran, the formats of Blockbusters, Connections, Crosswits and Runway never changed but the undoing of The Krypton Factor was changing the format of the show which totally ruined it. At this moment in time the quiz shows that currently go out on the air are bloody awful with diabolical formats and are not a patch on the quiz shows that we had on television in the old days. I think it would be a good idea to resurrect these five quiz shows as soon as possible and bring some decent family entertainment back on the box. Blockbusters, Connections, Crosswits and Runway could automatically come back on the air without any alterations at all, they could all use the same formats they used in the first place. The Krypton Factor on the otherhand would have to go back to its original format for that to work again and it can be done using some common sense. Why people have to change things that are alright the way they are I don't know because nine times out of ten the changes that bosses make ruin shows completely. Personally I have never known a programme survive on the air yet after changes have been made have you.

The Crystal Maze presented by first Richard O'Brien (Series 1-4) and then Edward Tudor Pole (Series 5-6) was another good show and one that certainly required intelligence as well as skill and memory at the same time. The Crystal Maze was probably one of the few quality programmes that Channel 4 had but in recent years Channel 4's treatment of their best programmes has been appalling. Brookside has been axed altogether, Fifteen to One has also been axed altogether and Countdown has been moved back an hour from 4.15pm to 3.15pm. As for Channel 4's treatment of American drama series like NYPD Blue and The Sopranos, they are put on at ridiculous hours to accommodate garbage like Big Brother at prime time and its not on. The Crystal Maze was to good a programme and wasted on Channel 4 and would be better on ITV-1 at prime time, that way more people would watch it then if given the opportunity. I bet the viewing figures for The Crystal Maze would double in no time if it was put on the major terrestrial network instead of a minor terrestrial channel.
