Bowling For A Cause sign now

A few years ago, I was a regular at a bowling alley named Lunar Bowl in Blue Springs, MO where I was in two leagues at the time. After staying until closing time one of those nights, some friends and I were walked to the door by bowling alley security. This was the norm for closing time as they made sure everyone left the building. After we left, the security guard closed the door behind us, remaining inside.

Moments later, someone who had been over served in the bar all night who had already tried to pick a couple of fights started talking to one of the girls I was with. When she was not interested, he got violent and began kicking her in the leg. I was the only male in the parking lot at the time, and though I'm not a big guy by any means, I stepped in between and stated "that's enough".

Unfortunately, in doing so, I left myself vulnerable to an attack from behind. I never got a great view of the attacker and he left in his brother's vehicle with "security cameras" failing to catch anything. The police did nothing to help but were called to the scene and threatened people who were thinking about drinking and driving. I woke up in a pool of my own blood with a headache that I can't describe. I was taken to the hospital, where they ran several tests.

After getting released, the bowling alley still charged me for all my missed bowling leagues and it was weeks before I could bowl again. After this, I developed a tendency to get migraines and began seeing a neurologist. Afraid of what I might discover, I waited longer than I should to find the answers. An MRI in April of 2010 revealed brain scarring from the incident. Given I was still a regular at this point alley and had been in 15 bowling leagues and spent thousands, I was dissatisfied with not only how everything was handled, but by the bowling alley tried to keep the situation quiet. They showed no concern for my situation whatsoever and never offered any assistance, let alone ever reporting the incident to their insurance provider.

Needing a bit of closure, I was determined to find out who the owner was. The GM refused to tell me who the owner was. Apparently I didn't have a right to know where my money was going. With the help of a former employee, I sent a letter to someone affiliated with the bowling alley, knowing it would reach its destination. It took over 6 months of trying to figure out who the owner was before I sent this letter, and the few lawyers I did contact during this period seemed uninterested. I often hear of a "date of occurrence" and a "date of discovery", which would be in April of 2010.

The bowling alley responded to my letter by banning me from the property because they were afraid I would tell their customers what happened. Apparently they thought that might be some sort of a threat. To view the complete story, be sure and check my web site and please sign this petition to tell them that you now know of this, and you disapprove of how a loyal customer was treated. This bowling alley dropped the ball and all they have to show for it is my money. Let's try to change this!

I could have easily died that night, and so could you! There are some definite issues raised here! Please sign and show your support!
