Axe Paul Marquess, Brian Park, Mal Young, Yvon Grace and all the rest of the useless producers and scriptwriters who have been in charge of all the soaps and certain drama series in the last ten years. Bring back the proper, professional, serious producer sign now

We the undersigned request that Paul Marquess, Brian Park, Mal Young, Yvon Grace and all the rest of the useless producers and scriptwriters who have been in charge of all the soaps and certain drama series in the last ten years are sacked immediately. In replacement of this lot the proper, professional, serious producers and scriptwriters who produced and wrote for television programmes in the old days should be reinstated.

What can you say about todays bosses. In general they wouldn't know a good actor or actress, a good script or a good programme if they fell over one. The quality of our soaps and drama series have gone completely downhill in the last ten years and the only solution to improving them is to bring back the proper, professional, serious producers and scriptwriters from the old days of television, as otherwise we are going to get absolutely bloody nowhere. There needs to be a big clear out here, the biggest bloodbath if there ever was one. Paul Marquess, Brian Park, Mal Young, Yvon Grace are just a few examples of producers who have played a part in the undoing of British Television in the last ten years. Brian Park was responsible for 1) changing Coronation Street and modernising it and 2) destroying Family Affairs completely, by killing off the entire original family the Hart's in a boat explosion. Mal Young is another smarmy bastard whose main concern is launching drama series and putting an ex Eastender actor or actress in the lead role every time. On all occasions each drama series has flopped altogether basically because Eastenders actors and actresses cannot act at all and just place whatever character they played in Eastenders in the drama series. Yvon Grace is another waste of space. She was responsible for the third version of Crossroads, the glitzy glamorous version which was absolutely diabolical. All Yvon had been, was a bloody judge on the reality show Soapstars and then all of a sudden gets a top job as an Executive Producer on a soap opera, its just not on. Lastly and worst of all, Paul the prick Marquess, who is without doubt the worst Executive Producer in the history of British Television. He was responsible for putting Brookside in the knackers yard altogether and also destroying The Bill which is now on its way to the knackers yard. Incidentally, I have written a separate petition altogether regarding Paul Marquess because he is my number one pet hate at this moment in time and I want something doing about him once and for all.

However on a better note, there are some current producers and scriptwriters who can be excluded from the axe as it is not necessary to sack them at all. This applies to the people in charge of the following - Heartbeat, The Royal, Prime Suspect, A Touch of Frost, Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War, New Tricks and Jericho. The bosses who are currently in charge of these eight drama series are great bosses and the writing is of a very high standard, they do an excellent job. You'll probably find though, that the current producers and scriptwriters in charge of these eight drama series are the same people still producing and writing for them since the day they were launched. This is why they are still quality programmes. With regards to all the other current producers and scriptwriters in charge of all the other drama series on television, as I have already said, they all want sacking. Most of todays drama series are axed after Series 2, some don't even get a second chance they are axed outright after Series 1 and if they are very lucky they get a third series but no more than three. In the last ten years, drama series have been pretty poor and this is due to the fact that the people in charge of them do not have a bloody clue what they are doing.

Please take this petition very seriously.
