Authorize Military Awards To All Veterans sign now

Authorize Military Awards To All Veterans by removing retroactive eligibility dates. All Veterans of this country have made great contributions and sacrifices while serving our great nation and to the department of defense and should be honored with the same recognition as all present military personnel. The military award structure is inconsistent, each award has different retroactive eligibility dates some with longer retroactive dates than other's for certain military awards. Many awards have been created by DOD after our veterans have been discharged and have paved the way for our present military and are not eligible because of retroactive dates even though they have achieved the same eligibility requirements, training, missions, schools and deployments. All veterans should be honored with the same recognition for their achievements! Honor our past veterans as we honor our present veterans lets not forget those that came before us.

United States Navy Awards as Follows:

WHEREAS: The Arctic Service Ribbon was created in 1986 and is retroactive to 1982 (4 Years)

WHEREAS: The Navy Recruiting Ribbon was created in 1989 and is retroactive to 1973 (16 Years)

United States Coast Guard Awards as Follows:

WHEREAS: The Arctic Service Medal was created in 1976 and is retroactive to 1946 (30 Years)

WHEREAS: The United States Government has not properly recognized the dedicated service of all Veterans who sacrificed as much as our present veterans.

BE IT RESOLVED: That the undersigned, joining with all Veterans, do support authorization by removing retroactive eligibility dates so all veterans would be authorized and entitled to the same Honor and recognition as long as eligible requirements are met.

BE IT PETITIONED: To the Secretary of Defense, Members of Congress, and the President of the United States that the names and tally of the undersigned be taken into consideration in the evaluation-reevaluation process, allowing authorization to all veterans for these awards.
