Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Must Go sign now

Dear Mr. President:
C/O National Assembly

Re: Michael Aondoakaa the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Must Go Immediately.

We, the undersigned Concern Nigerians Against Corruption and Injustice (CNACI), strongly object to the continuation of Michael Aondoakaa as the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF). We view his appointment as fundamentally incompatible with the ethical values of truthfulness, fight against corruption, disinterested enquiry, respect for national opinions, and lives of majority of Nigerians to which the present administration is inalienably committed.

It is our belief that AGFs actions were not in the interest of the rule of law.

He does not appreciate the rule of law against corruption handed down by the Supreme Court in the case of the AttorneyGeneral of Ondo State v. the AttorneyGeneral of the Federation (2002) 9 NWLR (Pt. 772) 222 which enjoined all Nigerians to fight against corruption and to ensure that institutions set up under the Act of the National Assembly which gives effect to Section 15(5) of the Constitution should be allowed to function and not sabotaged.

Michael Aondoakaa has been unduly castigating, humiliating and vilifying public institutions and their officers assigned to fight corruption by the Constitution and the Act of the National Assembly and confirmed by the decision of the Supreme Court in the Attorney General of Ondo State v. Attorney General of the Federation.

Michael Aondoakaa has never condemned corruption. He has never initiated any criminal prosecution of any public officer. He has never caused to be investigated any past corrupt politician or present. Michael Aondoakaa is known as an attorney for corrupt ex-Governor(s). Example Orji Kalu
Mr. President we ask, why saddle your administration with a man of controversy, which is not likely to succeed? As the rule of law demands justice and fair play for the accused Governors, the same rule of law demand Justice for the Nigerians who lived in the States ruled by some of these criminal and corrupt ex-Governors.

Mr. President we request that you remove this man Michael Aondoakaa- immediately before he turns your presidency, your commitment to rule of law and fight against corruption questionable not only by Nigerians but by the whole world.

We wish you Gods guidance in the next selection of Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).
