Articals of Bhagat Singh should be included in the curriculum at school and college level and the Birth Anniversary of Saheed Bhagat Singh (27th September) to be declared as Youth Day sign now

It has been more than six decades since we won our freedom. In that prolonged war of independence, which lasted for more than 150 years, our people waged a fierce battle, sacrificed their life and finally succeed in liberating our country from the clutches of Imperialism. But, did they want to liberate just a map or a piece of land or river or some mountain from the British?

It was not like that. The basic reason for their resistance of British was the oppression and tyranny of the imperial rule. They were bound to resist against the most powerful regime of that era to protest against hunger, unemployment and the endless miseries of their people. They dreamt about free India as a place where every citizen will get a chance to live with self-respect, prosperity, employment of his choice and can make his/her dreams come true. This is exactly what Bhagat Singh, the symbol of the revolutionary consciousness of Indian youth, meant when he said If the black British replace their white counterparts, such freedom will be meaningless.

But today it seems that their worst expectations are being realized. In last 6 decades amidst the loud claims of development on the one hand more than 70\% of our population is reeling under poverty and still incapable of arranging the basic needs if their life and on the other divisive forces are trying their best to create and enlarge the divisions based on the regional and racial identities, like cast, religion, gender and language. As a result tensions within country are increasing day by day.

Yuva Samvad is a socio-cultural group of youth working against such discriminations in different cities of MP,. We are committed towards the ideologies of Bhagat Singh and other revolutionaries of HSRA. We are of the opinion that their thoughts should be conveyed to the younger generation.

In this regard we place our demand before the honorable Chief Minister, M.P. that
1. The Birth Anniversary of Saheed Bhagat Singh (27th September) to be declared as Youth Day
2. His Articles should be included in the curriculum at school and college level.

We request you to sign and get this petition signed by as many people and organizations as possible before its too late.

Sincerely
