Anti-Digital Economy Bill sign now

To the UK Parliament
We are in strong opposition to the badly written, invasive and morally ambiguous Digital Economy Bill. The Government has no right to invade the privacy of millions of people in their own homes - all the bill comes across as is one step closer to 1984. The bill also discusses the bans of file sharing sites, which many people have legitimate uses for, for example to download software patches. We are fully aware that software piracy is illegal and harms legitimate artists, developers and publishers, but we feel that the Digital Economy Bill is the wrong way to go about combating it. Censoring and banning parts of the internet would make the UK little better than China or Syria in it's internet policies.
