against the FIA's decision to punish Lewis Hamilton after the Belgian GP sign now

With regards to the incident invloving Kimi Raikonnen and Lewis Hamilton during the closing laps of the Belgian Grand Prix held on Sunday the 7th of September 2008; this petition has been formulated to allow fans from across the globe to publish their feelings regarding the wrongful penalisation of Lewis Hamilton. It underlines and emphasises each and every individuals' outrage with this particular decision by the stewards. It also asks how Formula One can be taken seriously in the future as spectator doubt will be felt from the ripples of this incident. Quoting the FIA on many occasions: how can we 'improve the spectacle of F1' when inspiring, exciting and above all, legitimate overtaking manouveres are punished? Although asking the FIA to overturn the decision may prove impossible, we must as fans let them know when we have been disgraced.

If you ask me its obvious that Ferrari have someone in their pocket, how come Massa and Raikkonen getaway with what they did on the last race without penalty.

Every fair minded person can see that Hamilton did not gain advantage from 'cutting' the corner. He won fair and square - he was the fastest man on the track (on slicks) and simply outdrove Massa. The FIA are making a mockery out of what should have been

The FIA may as well just declare Ferrari the winners and save us all the pain of watching Hamilton win and then be punished for being the best driver but not being in a Ferrari

F1 is the only sport in the world which allows technicalities to change results after the end. LUDICROUS.
