Abolition of the Tulku System in Buddhism sign now
Hereby we undersigned seek abolition of tulku system in Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
As practitioners of and sympathisers of Tibetan Buddhism, we see that genuine Dharma is endangered by the Tibetan tulku system. Although it has provided a few advantages over the course of history, tulku system has become increasingly political and corrupt. Therefore we, who signed this petition, ask all the teachers of Tibetan buddhism not to recognise, enthrone and establish any new tulkus.
Further we ourselves pledge not to recognise any new tulkus and not to accept them as teachers unless there is a proof that they have undergone complete training in a particular lineage or tradition, that they are supposed to represent.
