"A PETITION FOR THE DEMOCRATIZATION OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH"

I, Mr. Rummel Pinera, is urging the over-all leadership of the Roman Catholic Church to implement democratic reforms that will pave the way for the democratization of the Roman Catholic Church. I believe that the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church also has the moral responsibility to promote, secure, uphold, dignify and guarantee the basic human rights and responsible human freedoms of all the members of the Roman Catholic Church. Such moral responsibility can only be fully implemented if the leadership of the Roman Catholic Church will allow the democratization process to take place now inside its authority. I believe that every society, every social organization and every culture in this world should be democratized through peaceful and legal means. This is because of the reality that democracy is a method or way of making a political system or a management structure become compatible and be in harmony with all of the known natural, universal and moral laws and principles. Hence, even the Roman Catholic Church, because it also has a management structure, should be democratized.

I believe that the Vatican should study and implement these following proposals of mine that may pave the way for the democratization of the Roman Catholic Church. These are the proposals for the Roman Catholic Church's democratization:

1.) The electoral college which elects the pope should be democratized. This can be done if the membership of such electoral college will represent all the sectors of the Catholic Church, including the laity, so that the election of a pope will be truly democratic. All the countries which have existing Catholic dioceses should be represented in such electoral college. The membership of such electoral college should be increased to 300 or 500.
2.) All the administrative offices in the Vatican should promote and ensure gender, racial, and ethnic equality. Such would also mean that all the available positions inside the Vatican should be open to all kinds of gender, race and ethnicity.
3.) The laity should take an active part in the decision-making processes on improving a parish community. Some members of the laity should also be allowed to hold official functions inside the Vatican.
4.) Women should be allowed to become priests, bishops and archbishops. Women should also be allowed to become officials of the Vatican. This is about gender equality.
5.) Married persons should be allowed to enter the priesthood. A married person, just like the celibate, also has the human right to become a preacher, bishop, archbishop and even pope.
6.) Every national church of the Roman Catholic Church should have clear autonomy on local management and financial matters. This will improve the sovereign status of a national church of the Roman Catholic Church.
7.) The Vatican should also decide to have a democratic advisory council that will help the pope in managing the official affairs of the over-all leadership of the Roman Catholic Church. That is democratizing Vatican's leadership.
8.) Term-limits should also be given to the senior members of the Vatican's leadership.
9.) The office of the pope should also be open to all types of gender, race and ethnicity. Such office should not be an exclussive domain of 'white Europeans'.
10.) The Roman Catholic Church should promote peaceful and legal means that will help in democratizing this whole world. The Roman Catholic Church should endorse real, global and moral democracy.
11.) The over-all leadership of the Catholic Church should study other concerns of the Roman Catholic Church that need to be democratized. The Roman Catholic Church should democratize its management of projects that deal with the social dimension of the Christian religion.

I believe that the officialdom of the Roman Catholic Church should study this petition's proposals for the democratization of the management of the Roman Catholic Church. I hope that Catholics throughout this world would sign this petition. Thank you. The LORD GOD blesses all of you.
