A Million Educators Signature Campaign for Recognition of State of Palestine
United For Peace
Upcoming Palestinian State

The Palestinian Leadership decided to head to the United Nations and the Security Council in order to gain full membership of the State of Palestine. This move came in order to obtain worldwide recognition of an independent Palestinian state on the entire borders of June 1967, as an implementation of United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Resolution 181 issued in September 1947, and which provided for the partition of the Palestinian territories into two states: the Jewish State of Israel which was recognized then, and a still-pending Palestinian state.
This decision to head to the United Nations came into action after the negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides reached a dead end, due to the rejection of Israeli government of all signed treaties, its determination to continue in the path of settlement building, and ignoring all resolutions of international legitimacy.
This decision will provide the State of Palestine with a new legal status and international legitimacy, thereby removing the legitimacy of the occupation, which must be complete because the Palestinian people are the only people still suffering from occupation.
Full recognition of the State of Palestine, and dealing with its current status as a state under occupation would shift the direction of the conflict from being in a political status to being with a legal status in which the state of Palestine would become a state under occupation instead of being a matter of disputed territories. In addition, recognition of the State of Palestine would support of the aspirations of the Palestinian people of ending the occupation and fully recovering their legitimate rights.
Heading to the UN doesnt mean the end of the occupation or the end of resistance; however, it is one step down the path of ending the occupation, gaining our liberty, and establishing an independent state. It is a tremendous and huge step and therefore needs the solidarity and support of all World Liberals.
Hence forth, the Arab Campaign for Education for All and the Arab Network for Education on Human Rights and Citizenship Anhur, call upon all supporting educators of human rights, believers in the just Palestinian cause, and all those who support justice and humanity to sign this petition. The aim of this petition is to attract one million educators signatures from all over the world, supporting the decision of the Palestinian leadership to head to the UN to acquire full membership in the United Nations and Security Council.
We call upon you to support the campaign United for Peace to recognize the State of Palestine, and affirm the rights of the Palestinian people. Its about time that the occupation ends, and the Palestinian people acquire their legitimate rights like all other world nations.
