A Call For Continued Actions, Awareness, and Peace Making in Sudan and Chad sign now

WHEREAS, the crisis in the countries and Sudan and Chad continues unabated, and

WHEREAS, the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) have taken up arms against the Sudanese government and allege mistreatment, and

WHERAS, the Janjaweed, the Sudanese government and its militia have launched a counter-offensive and declare the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM) and Sudanese Liberation Army (SLA) as rebel groups, creating a conflict of unfathomable nature, and

WHERAS, the Janjaweed along with the Sudanese government and its militia continue to promote a racist ideology that sees the Arab people of the Darfur region of Sudan as the supreme population, promoting the subjugation of non-Arab peoples, and

WHERAS, acts of violence, racism, ethnic cleansing, have run rampant throughout the country of Sudan since 2003, largely due in part to this ongoing conflict, with unknown death and displacement tolls, and various governments internationally estimating 20,000 to almost 500,000 deaths, and 500,000 to almost 3,000,000 displacements since the conflict began in 2003, largely due in part to military violence, starvation, and disease brought on by the crisis, and

WHERAS, acts of violence, racism, and ethnic cleansing, and threats still persist in Sudan, and have caused the conflict to escalate, causing refugees to cross the border into the country of Chad, creating a large scale humanitarian crisis, and

WHERAS, non- Arab women have been victims and survivors of war time rape, forced into sexual slavery, and denied their human rights, while Arab women stood by and rejoiced in these acts, and

WHERAS, the official policies of the Sudanese government continue to exploit, oppress, and racially and ethnically discriminate against people, in hopes to incite social divisions, and

WHERAS, the main stream media has not done its part internationally to raise awareness of the ongoing crisis, and the effect it has on the peoples of Sudan and Chad, and

WHERAS, some members of the international community have condemned the ongoing crisis, but have not directly taken actions to end it, and

WHERAS, the lack of security and restrictions on access in certain parts of Sudan and Chad have hindered the provision of humanitarian aid by international agencies, and

WHERAS, the conflicts in northern and southern Sudan, the Darfur region, and in Chad, are all separate, but are occuring under the same premise that the Darfur Conflict is occurring under, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the people signing this petition support non-violent intervention from the international community , as it aids in bringing justice to the affected countries and regions to ensure that the human, civil, religious, and environmental rights of the people are guaranteed, including endorsing a stronger commitment to the African Union, and
