2010 Nobel Peace Prize for Charles Manson sign now

On December 10, 2009, President Barack Obama delivered a truly groundbreaking Nobel Lecture. He assured those American citizens that voted him into office that change really is here to stay. He assured the world that the United States is ready to re-enter the realm of multilateralism from which his predecessor withdrew the nation. In short, he convinced the entire world that war truly is peace.

Indeed, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize despite his continued support for the illegal war in Iraq and his escalation of the illegal war in Afghanistan. In the spirit of the Nobel Committee's embrace of President Obama's moral cowardice, his repeated flagrant violations of international law, and his refusal to admit to any wrongdoing whatsoever, We the Undersigned (hereinafter referred to as "We") submit our nominee for the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize: Charles Manson.

Though this choice may shock many, We ask that all the facts be given fair consideration. Our nominee has only ever been convicted of masterminding nine (9) murders. While We do admit that this generally would disqualify a candidate from consideration, We believe that the Nobel Committee's choice of Barack Obama as the recipient of the Prize for 2009 has laid the groundwork for a bright new era in which innocent blood on one's hands does not necessarily disqualify one from recognition as a bringer of peace.

Since taking office, Barack Obama has been directly involved in the murder of at least six hundred (600) Pakistani civilians in the first half 2009 alone. All were killed by Predator drone missile strikes inside the sovereign nation of Pakistan. Mathematically speaking, Barack Obama is responsible for over 6500\% more civilian deaths than our nominee. If killing six hundred civilians earns a man a Nobel Peace Prize, then We submit that our nominee's significantly lower number of victims should garner him at least as much praise as this year's recipient (if not more).

We ask that you give our nominee your full consideration so that the world may continue to move towards that sparkling future that your actions this year have now made available to us: a future in which one's words need not match one's deeds, a future in which the powerful may use violence against civilians as a pillar of military strategy, and a future in which leaders who engage in the wholesale slaughter of innocents and the denial of basic human rights are not only accepted but rewarded for their restraint.
