07-07-07 OBOS Recognition of Abandoned/Dumpster Baby sign now

We the undersigned request the Boston Women's Health Book Collective provide abandoned newborn & Safe Haven information to their readers by all means available via:
* Official OBOS website
- Future blog entries
* Myspace.com/obos
- In future editions of the OBOS book

This will assure a steady and readily available information to girls and women who may not be aware of the Safe Haven laws if published in the OBOS health book read on university campuses and in over 130 countries.

Our Bodies Ourselves (OBOS), also known as the Boston Women's Health Book Collective, is used in many womens health classes and can be found on the shelves of book stores and libraries. OBOS has been published since the 1970s and no where in the book does it talk about Safe Haven laws or options available to women who would rather create a "dumpster baby".

We are asking OBOS to include "Safe Haven" information in future editions of the book. OBOS talks in detail about abortion, adoption, birth control, birthing, pregnancy, and all women health care issues; this indicates their lack of interest in the "littlest Taboo" of discarding newborns like trash. Women need to know about options available to them other than discarding unwanted newborns.

please take the time to sign our petition and get one of the most popular women's health resource book to include "Safe Haven" option information.

Thank you for taking the time to sign this petition.
