We, the undersigned residents of Canada, draw the attention of the Minister to the following:

THAT Gundemaro Barillas-Lopez and his family, of Langley, British Columbia, are good and true neighbours contributing in a meaningful and positive way to our community and country;

THAT to return the Barillas-Lopez Family to Guatemala is against the very spirit and purpose of Canada's immigration policy;

AND FURTHER, THAT returning the Barillas-Lopez Family to Guatemala presents a very real threat to their lives.

THEREFORE, the petitioners call upon you, as Minister of Immigration of Canada, to intervene on behalf of the Barilllas-Lopez Family and permit them to remain in Canada
