Petition for more inclusive tax return software sign now

The Hon. Wayne Swan, M.P.
The Treasurer

PC users can submit a networked software-based tax return (e-tax), but users of other devices and operating systems (including Apple) cannot. This situation has persisted for some years.

Users of Apple products, including the iPad, have burgeoned in Australia in recent years. Prime Minister Julia Gillard recently paid tribute to Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, recognising that he 'literally changed our world'.

I petition the Australian Government to create an e-tax service which works regardless of what sort of computer and operating system is being used. Tablet devices such the iPad should also be supported by the ATO.
