We respectfully request that the Computer Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice review events surrounding the new addition and/or layout of the yahoo answers website to determine whether the civil rights of the undersigned users have been violated.

In a October 1, 2007 New York Times article titled "Yahoo Answers, Demon to us all," Howard Witt reported that the Yahoo Answers creative team purposely changed the layout to bombard innocent users with advertisements for unrelated websites and services.

From the same New York Times article:

Theres been obvious user discrimination in this case, said Joe Cook, executive director of the New York chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, who described Answers as a violating powder keg primed to ignite. It appears the answers team do not want to provide a wonderful answering experience, but are just interested in turning a profit."

We respectfully request that the Computer Rights Division of the United States Department of Justice launch a full investigation into events that occurred on October 1st, 2007 whether the civil rights of Yahoo Answers users residents have been violated.
